Organització: Aquest torneig és organitzat per la Federació Catalana d’Escacs amb el patrocini de l'Ajuntament de Barcelona, Casino de Barcelona i Generalitat de Catalunya.
Sistema de joc: Es disputarà pel sistema de lliga de tots contra tots a una volta.
Participants: 10 jugadors categoria XIV.
Sala de joc: Gran Casino de Barcelona (Carrer Marina, 19-21). Capacitat per a uns 125 espectadors. Entrada lliure
Dies i horari de joc: Ronda diària del 30 d’octubre al 7 de novembre de 2008, a partir de les 16:00 hores.
Ritme de joc: 90 minuts + 30 segons d’increment per a les primeres 40 jugades, més 30 minuts + 30 segons d’increment per cada jugada. (90’/40 + 30’) + 30’’ increment. No es podrà efectuar proposicions de taules, abans del primer control.
Torneig homologat: El torneig serà homologat per la FIDE.
Direcció del torneig: El Director del torneig serà el Sr. Jordi Parayre Soguero i el Sots-director el Sr. Josep Garcia i Riera.
Arbitratge: Manuel Navarro Pérez
Comitè de Competició: Estarà format pel director del torneig, i dos delegats federatius.
Premis: 1r: 1.500 euros + Trofeu 2n: 1.200 euros + Trofeu 3r 900 euros + Trofeu 4t: 600 euros 5è: 300 euros
Tots els participants hauran de comentar una de les seves partides disputada en aquest torneig, en el proper número de la revista que edita la Federació Catalana d’Escacs “El Butlletí d’Escacs”.

Altres: La sala estarà equipada amb pantalles on es podrà visionar les partides. El torneig podrà seguir-se per internet mitjançant el portal de la Federació Catalana d’Escacs Allò no previst en aquest reglament es regirà pel de la FIDE.
Organisation: The tournament will be organised by the Catalan Chess Federation, with the sponsorship of Casino de Barcelona, Ajuntament de Barcelona, and Generalitat de Catalunya.
Playing System: The tournament will be a closed Round-Robin. Each player will play one game against each of his opponents.
Participants: 10 players. Category XIV.
Playing venue: Gran Casino de Barcelona (C/ Marina, 19-21). Next to the “Port Olímpic” (Olympic Port). Capacity for 125 spectators. Free entry.
Tournament schedule: Daily round from October 16th to October 24 th, 2008. All games will start at 4 pm.
Playing times: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an addition of 30 seconds per move from move 1 (90’/40 + 30’) + 30’’. Players cannot ask for draw before the first control (40 moves).
Homologated Event: The tournament will be homologated by FIDE.
Tournament Direction: The Tournament Director (TD) will be Mr. Jordi Parayre Soguero. The subdirector will be Mr. Josep Garcia i Riera.
Arbiter: Manuel Navarro Perez
Competition Committee: It will be formed by the Tournament Director, and two Catalan Federation’s Delegates.

Other rules: Anything not foreseen in these rules will be covered by the official FIDE regulations Spectators will be able to follow the games on screens in the playing hall. The tournament will be broadcasted live on the Internet by means of the Catalan Federation Chess Portal HYPERLINK www.directefcde.org All participants will be obliged to annotate one of their games for the next issue of the Catalan Chess Federation’s Magazine “El Butlletí d’Escacs”.
